Melissa Thompson has had an unusual and fun career, driven by her desire to follow a couple of childhood dreams. A childhood love of animals and the dream to work at both SeaWorld and Disney World sparked the path that eventually led to her performing at Disney World and becoming an animal trainer/performer at SeaWorld and Busch Gardens theme parks.
In addition to training and performing in multiple shows in the theme parks, she has presented animals alongside celebrity animal personalities Jack Hanna and Julie Scardina on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” the “Martha Stewart Show,” and the “Today” show. She was also a Dalmatian trainer on the U.S. tour of “The 101 Dalmatians Musical.” Melissa has worked with all kinds of animals, from dogs and cats to Binturongs and Bush Babies!
